Actor-comedian Vir Das becomes the First Indian to Host the Prestigious Emmy Awards

After winning an Emmy last year for Landing, I feel a strong connection to this event and am incredibly honored to be at the center of it. In 2023, Vir reached a remarkable achievement by winning an International Emmy for his acclaimed Netflix comedy special, Landing, after receiving two prior nominations.

Vir Das began his career in stand-up comedy, showcasing his skills at various venues in India and internationally. He gained fame through a combination of stand-up specials, live performances, and roles in Bollywood films. In addition to his stand-up career, Das appeared in the American television series Whiskey Cavalier and created the Netflix series Hasmukh.

This Year’s Emmy International Awards Will be conducted on 25th November 2024.
