As reported by India Today, Rajinikanth opened up about his financial struggles and the unwavering commitment he demonstrated in overcoming those challenges through hard work.

“When Amit ji was producing films he broke into a big loss. He was not even able to pay his watchman. His Juhu home came into Public Bidding. The whole Bollywood was laughing at him… The world will just wait for your downfall. In three years, he did all the ads, KBC earned all the money and bought back three homes along with the Juhu home on the same street. He is such an inspiration. He is 82-years-old, and he is working for 10 hours a day,” said the speech.

In Vettaiyan, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Sathyadev, while the name of Rajinikanth’s character remains under wraps. Ritika Singh steps into the shoes of a police officer named Roopa. The supporting cast includes notable actors like Manju Warrier and Rana Daggubati.

This film also signifies Bachchan’s debut in the Telugu film industry, with a release date set for October 10th, just a day before Amitabh’s birthday on October 11th.

Rajinikanth has expressed his admiration for the legendary actor, highlighting Amitabh’s connections with influential figures, including Indira Gandhi, while acknowledging the challenges he faced in building his career independently.

Amitabh once survived a near-fatal accident in Bangalore in 1982, which left him severely injured and struggling for life.

The duo has previously collaborated in films such as Hum, Andhaa Kaanoon, and Geraftaar, earning much acclaim for their on-screen chemistry. Their last joint venture was the 1983 film “Geraftaar.” This much-anticipated reunion has generated considerable excitement among fans, as both actors are revered icons in the Indian film industry.
