Ambani’s involvement with the Lalbaugcha Raja extends beyond this year’s donation. He has consistently supported the mandal through various initiatives, including his presence at the Ganeshotsav celebrations and the annual immersion ceremony at Girgaon Chowpatty Beach. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the mandal faced financial hardships, Ambani stepped in with substantial aid, including the donation of 24 dialysis machines to assist with the committee’s patient support fund.

In recognition of his contributions, Anant Ambani has been honored with honorary membership and appointed as an executive advisor to the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal. This role highlights his ongoing influence and commitment to the mandal’s charitable efforts.

The Lalbaugcha Raja, known as the ‘King of Lalbaug,’ remains one of Mumbai’s most visited Ganesh idols. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which starts on September 7, will see elaborate rituals and vibrant celebrations over ten days, culminating in the grand visarjan, where the idol is immersed in water amidst music and chants.

For those planning to visit, the darshan timings are from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with morning, afternoon, and evening poojas and aartis scheduled throughout the day.
