According to preliminary information received, a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a rickshaw driver while she was going to school. He took her to an abandoned building and raped her there.
Later, he also threatened the girl not to tell her mother or anyone else about the incident, or else he would kill her mother. The frightened girl somehow managed to reach home. When her parents questioned her about her condition, she broke down and told them about the harrowing incident. Hearing that, her parents were also shocked. They immediately rushed to the police station and filed a complaint against the driver narrating the incident.
A case has been registered against an unknown rickshaw driver under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) Act. The police are searching for the rickshaw driver.
