Chief Minister Eknath Shinde advocates for urgent solution to Pune’s traffic woes

The event featured Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Muralidhar Mohol, and other dignitaries, with Governor CP Radhakrishnan participating virtually.

Highlighting Maharashtra’s industrial growth, Shinde noted, “We are implementing various projects with central government support to boost development. Maharashtra attracts 52 percent of the country’s foreign investment.”

He also stressed the urgency of expediting land acquisition for Purandar Airport, promising swift action and fair compensation for farmers. A joint meeting will address challenges regarding the airport’s development.

Fadnavis praised the Pune Metro’s rapid progress stating, “The first phase is recognized as the fastest in the country. Swargate will be India’s first multimodal station.”

He called Pune an ‘economic magnet’ noting that projects worth around 21 lakh crore are underway, aiming to create thousands of jobs for residents.                                               

Minister Muralidhar Mohol noted that, with support from the central government, Pune has experienced numerous developments, including the metro system, an Ayurvedic college, and a new airport terminal. He commended initiatives aimed at empowering women and enhancing their self-sufficiency.
