However, customers soon found themselves in a dilemma when the orders they had placed were unexpectedly cancelled. According to a user, “On today’s early morning, many of us ordered the Motorola G85 5G (128GB) from @Flipkart via the @0xFireDrops 99% off offer. The seller Grahgoods Retail accepted and dispatched the orders and even the product was shipped, but then suddenly cancelled all to be delivered orders on the same time of 18:35:48 PM.”

While some users reported receiving their phones, the majority claimed their orders were cancelled, leaving them frustrated. Adding to their grievances, when these customers reached out to Flipkart’s customer service, they were informed that the cancellations were due to a “price glitch/error,” but buyers disagreed, insisting that the discount was legitimate. “It wasn’t – the offer was clearly applied officially & automatically,” one customer pointed out.
Dear @Flipkart & @motorolaindia 🙌
😬We have very serious concerns about the firedrop 99% discount offer.
It’s Look Like Totally Scam with thousands of users😠

Big Breaking ℹ️
Flipkart first gave offers and then cancelled the orders before the deadline.🥴
This is the wrong behaviour by Flipkart, if it is.
Appropriate action should be taken against him.#flipkartscam #iPhone16Pro pic.twitter.com/Mg8OtLeQGP

Further aggravating the situation, some users alleged that their orders were marked as ‘delivered’ despite them not receiving the phones. Others who experienced failed deliveries reported that Flipkart offered a ₹500 gift voucher as compensation, but many felt this was insufficient given the magnitude of the issue. “A ₹500 voucher isn’t going to fix this,” a frustrated buyer shared online.
At present, Flipkart has not issued an official statement addressing the controversy, leaving many customers waiting for clarification and resolution. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked discussions about the credibility of promotional sales and the reliability of online shopping platforms.
