HCL Technologies Employee Dies of Cardiac Arrest in Nagpur Office Washroom

The police have registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for a postmortem, with initial reports indicating cardiac arrest as the cause. The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing. Michael is survived by his wife and their six-year-old son.

HCL Technologies expressed deep sorrow over the loss. A spokesperson said, “This is a tragic incident, and we extend our deepest condolences to the family. The employee was provided emergency support at the campus healthcare clinic and transported to the hospital. The well-being of our employees is our top priority, and we offer comprehensive healthcare programs, including annual preventive health checks.”

This incident comes after a recent case in Lucknow, where an HDFC Bank employee, Sadaf Fatima, reportedly died due to work-related stress. Similarly, earlier this month, a young chartered accountant from Kerala working at EY Pune also died of cardiac arrest, allegedly linked to excessive workload and stress. These incidents highlight concerns around workplace stress and employee well-being in the corporate sector.
