Heavy Rains, Thunderstorms, and Strong Winds to Hit Maharashtra from September 23

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is predicted to form over the northern Andaman Islands on Saturday, September 21, leading to the formation of a low-pressure area. This system is expected to move toward Maharashtra, bringing widespread heavy rainfall across Vidarbha, Marathwada, and the rest of the state from September 23 to 28.

Konkan and Goa may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning on September 24, with similar conditions expected in Palghar, Thane, and Raigad. In Central Maharashtra, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, and Solapur on September 23 and 24, while Dhule, Pune, Satara, Nandurbar, and Nashik may experience similar weather on September 24.

In Marathwada, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Beed are likely to experience rain with thunderstorms and strong winds on September 21. Nanded is expected to receive rain from September 21 to 23, while Osmanabad may experience rain from September 21 to 24. Beed and Jalna are forecasted to receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds on September 23 and 24. In Vidarbha, most districts are expected to experience rain with thunderstorms and strong winds from September 22 to 24. A yellow alert has been issued for all these districts.
