India’s Largest Hospital Rising: 24 Floors High with an Emergency Helipad

The hospital’s inception aligns with the Right to Health Act initiated by the Rajasthan government, aiming to enhance healthcare accessibility for all citizens. The SMSH will also house the Cardiovascular Science Institute, which will further bolster its role as a hub for advanced medical treatment. The existing SMS Hospital, with its older building, currently manages around 15,000 outpatient visits daily. The new facility promises to significantly improve service quality and accommodate more patients.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, a renowned cardiologist, highlighted that the existing facility performs approximately 700 angioplasties each month, indicating a strong need for improved cardiac care services. The new building will not only cater to local patients but will also attract those from neighboring states seeking specialized heart treatments.

The SMSH is expected to be a game-changer in the healthcare sector, bringing advanced medical services to Jaipur and setting a new benchmark for hospital infrastructure in India.
