Maharashtra’s First 3MW Solar Park Powers Over 1,700 Farmers’ Pumps

Implemented under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the scheme is considered one of the largest distributed renewable energy projects globally. Farmers in Dhondalgaon, Nalegaon, Amanatpurwadi, and Sanjapurwadi are among the first beneficiaries.

In response to longstanding demands for consistent daytime power for agricultural pumps, MSKVY 2.0 addresses this by generating solar energy to power these systems. Plans are underway to expand the scheme to 16,000 MW, benefitting more farmers across Maharashtra.
