Mumbai Doha IndiGo Flight Cancelled After 5 Hour Delay Passengers Stranded2

On Sunday, IndiGo’s flight 6E 1303, bound for Doha, was cancelled after experiencing a five-hour delay caused by technical issues and procedural holdups. The flight, originally scheduled to depart Mumbai at 3:55 a.m., faced multiple delays before the airline decided to cancel it altogether.

Passengers, numbering between 250 and 300, were reportedly confined to the aircraft for nearly five hours after completing immigration checks, with no option to deboard. The situation deteriorated when technical problems with the plane led to passengers being asked to disembark and wait in the airport’s holding area.

Reports indicate that stranded passengers were not provided with essential amenities such as food and water and faced a lack of communication from airline officials. The situation was compounded by an earlier incident on Friday, where another IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Phuket was diverted to Penang, Malaysia, due to adverse weather conditions.

In response to the cancellation, an IndiGo spokesperson confirmed the technical issues with flight 6E 1303 and apologized for the inconvenience caused. The airline has assured affected passengers that they will be accommodated on subsequent flights and provided with necessary assistance.
