National Livestock Census to Include Pets, Strays In Upcoming Survey

The census aims to collect comprehensive data on domestic animals and birds from every household. Enumerators will cover all municipal wards and villages, counting various species such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, poultry, dogs, and more. They will also gather information on the breed, age, and sex of these animals.

In addition to domestic pets, the census will include a survey of stray animals. Data will be collected from local residents and watchmen in various housing colonies throughout the city.
