Pune, 11th October 2024: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has opened applications for 1,337 remaining flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme.
In Peth No. 12, there are 47 flats in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category and 614 flats in the Low-Income Group (LIG) section. In Peth Nos. 30-32, there are 347 homes under the EWS category and 329 flats in the LIG section. Citizens can apply from tomorrow until 12th November 2024, giving them one month to submit their applications.
Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Metropolitan Commissioner of PMRDA, provided details regarding the housing scheme. Present at the announcement were Additional Commissioner Deepak Singla, Chief Engineer Ashok Bhalkar, Joint Commissioner in Charge Himmat Kharade, and Tehsildar Abhijeet Jagtap.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the price for a 1 BHK flat in the EWS category, measuring 29.55 square meters, is Rs 15,74,424. In contrast, a 2 BHK flat in the LIG category, with an area of 59.27 square meters, costs Rs 35,57,200. Additionally, the price for one-room kitchen flats in the EWS category, located in Peth Nos. 30 and 32 and covering an area of 25.52 square meters, is Rs 20,90,771. The cost of a 1 BHK flat in the LIG category, with an area of 34.57 square meters, is Rs 28,32,208.
A deposit of Rs 5,000 is required for EWS category flats, and Rs 10,000 for LIG category flats in the housing project. Online applications for both categories can be submitted until 12th November 2024, with an application fee of Rs 708, inclusive of GST. PMRDA urges applicants to visit the website http://housing.pmrda.gov.in to complete the online application form.
Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Metropolitan Commissioner of PMRDA, emphasized, “The entire lottery process is conducted through a computerized system, ensuring no human intervention. Therefore, citizens interested in the flats should apply online.”
