Key Highlights of MLA Landge’s Address:
Landge noted, “Our Pimpri-Chinchwad city, known for its robust growth as a hub for industries, IT, and the automotive sector, is increasingly attracting citizens from across the country for jobs, education, and business opportunities. It is not an overstatement to call this city ‘Mini India.’ However, our local students still need to travel to cities like Pune, Mumbai, or even outside the state for quality education, particularly in engineering and medicine. We aim to bring those educational opportunities here.”

He proudly spoke about the establishment of the Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Santpeeth in Chikhali. This unique institution blends traditional spiritual education with modern academics, with over 1,200 students currently enrolled. “This is India’s first Santpith,” Landge remarked.

In addition, a government engineering college branch is being set up in Moshi, and a Pimpri-Chinchwad Medical College & Research Center is also in the pipeline. Municipal schools are being modernized into “smart schools” under the Smart City initiative, and projects like the Tarangan Planetarium are sparking children’s interest in science.

Pride in the Constitution Bhavan
MLA Landge further highlighted plans to establish India’s first Constitution Bhavan in Moshi. This landmark will not only promote the values of the Indian Constitution and democracy but also encourage the study of constitutions from democratic nations worldwide. It will be accompanied by the city’s first international-standard library, further enhancing Pimpri-Chinchwad’s academic infrastructure.

IIM as an Education Milestone
In a bid to bring world-class management education to Pimpri-Chinchwad, an IIM (Indian Institute of Management) branch is being set up in the Bhosari constituency. Additionally, MLA Landge is actively pursuing the establishment of a National Academy of Arts with the support of the central government. Other projects, such as an *International Skill Development Center, **C-DAC, and a *Competitive Exam Guidance Center, are also in progress, all aiming to elevate the city’s educational stature.

Response and Future Vision
“We are not merely rolling out the red carpet for new educational projects but also creating a conducive environment for institutions to thrive here. Over the past decade, we have focused on developing essential infrastructure, resulting in the growth of the ‘Chikhali-Moshi-Charholi Residential Corridor.’ In total, we have initiated the construction of 10 new schools, five of which are already operational, while others are nearing completion,” said Landge.
