Pune, 10th September 2024: Currently, the Mahayuti alliance is experiencing internal rifts that are becoming increasingly visible. Issues such as seat allocation, election politics, and statements from various leaders are under scrutiny. The focus has largely been on Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Pune District, who is one of the three main leaders of Mahayuti. Jayant Patil, the leader of Mahavikas Aghadi, has made a significant statement that has exacerbated the situation.

At an event organized by the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh, Jayant Patil made a statement saying, “There is also a conspiracy to postpone the Legislative Assembly elections. By associating with Ajit Pawar, the credibility of the Bharatiya Janata Party has diminished. Therefore, Ajit Pawar may be asked to contest the assembly election as an independent. Ajit Pawar will be told that, as the BJP’s popularity in the country and the state has declined, he should stay away for now, and we will reunite after the elections.”

Jayant Patil continued, “The chair has become ‘beloved’ to the government. The financial condition of the state has deteriorated, and there are concerns about whether government employees’ salaries will be paid on time. However, funds are being allocated without a clear understanding of who needs the money. MLAs from the ruling party claim that this is all merely for election purposes. If there is a change in power in the state, only those who truly need assistance will receive it, and the amount of aid may also be increased.”
