Pune: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Voices Concern Over Death of Ernst & Young Employee

Pune, 19 September 2024: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has expressed deep concern over the tragic death of 26-year-old Anna Sebastian Perayil, an employee of Ernst & Young in Pune.

In a Twitter post, Pawar highlighted the increasing issue of workplace stress among young professionals and called for immediate attention to the problem. He wrote, “The rising cases of young people dying due to stress need our attention.” He also urged Ernst & Young to take corrective measures to address workplace pressures and improve employee well-being.

The Union Labour Ministry has acknowledged the incident and confirmed that it has received a complaint. It will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Anna Sebastian Perayil.
