The immersion processions in Pune have a special attraction of early Ganpati processions, drawing young and old alike to catch a glimpse of the revered deity. However, the clear skies and scorching sun made conditions challenging. “The heat of the sun had increased, and there was a huge crowd for the darshan of Lord Ganesha,” eyewitnesses reported.

As per information, the injured drummers are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. To mitigate such incidents, the Pune Police Vighnaharta Nyas Emergency Medical Aid Team deployed ambulances at strategic locations, including Belbag Chowk, Alka Talkies Chowk, SP College Chowk, and Puram Chowk.

Additional emergency medical aid centers were set up at Gokhale Hall on Lakshmi Road, near Sweet Home on Kumthekar Road, near Narayan Peth Police Chowki, and S P College Chowk on Tilak Road.

Despite the challenges, the procession continued with devotion and fervor, showcasing Pune’s spirit and commitment to its traditions.
