Pune: Jyotirvidya Parisanstha To Host Exhibition On India’s Contributions To Astronomy


JVP, founded on August 22, 1944, by prominent citizens of Pune, has been instrumental in promoting astronomy and scientific education. As the first association of its kind in India, JVP has a long-standing history of fostering public interest in astronomy. The organization is also known for hosting the All India Amateur Astronomers Meet in 1991 and the All India Messier Marathon in 2012.
