Upon arrival, he was denied entry by bouncer Anand and a security guard, leading to an argument. Gurnani managed to open the gate himself and proceeded to his destination. Anand then verbally abused Gurnani, who chose not to escalate the situation further but reported the incident to Datta Jadhav, the manager of Kamal Baug Society.

On August 17, Gurnani encountered Anand again while returning home. Anand refused to open the gate and continued to abuse Gurnani. Gurnani called Santosh Deshmukh, the chairman of Kamal Bagh Society, to report the situation. However, Anand refused to speak with Deshmukh and instead grabbed the key from Gurnani’s bike and slapped him.

The confrontation escalated when Anand summoned his brother Rahul. Together, they attacked Gurnani with a wooden stick, inflicting serious injuries. Gurnani’s wife and her brother were notified of the assault and rushed him to Care Hospital in Wagholi. Due to the severity of his injuries, Gurnani was later transferred to Sahyadri Hospital for treatment. Although advised to stay overnight, he returned home late due to the unavailability of beds.

Following the assault, Gurnani filed a complaint against Anand and Rahul at Lonikand police station. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
