Pune, 28th September 2024: The Shivajinagar Court to Swargate underground metro line is set to be inaugurated on Sunday, September 29, with several dignitaries expected to attend the ceremony. As a result, significant traffic changes will be implemented in the Shivajinagar Court and Shree Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch in Swargate areas to facilitate the event.

A program will be held at Shree Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch on the morning of the inauguration. To minimize inconvenience for motorists, traffic adjustments will take effect from 7 AM. Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the Traffic Branch, has urged drivers to utilize alternative routes during this time.

All vehicles will be prohibited from the Jamnalal Bajaj statue area in Saras Bagh, starting from Keshavrao Jedhe Chowk in Swargate. As needed, dual traffic flow will be maintained between Jedhe Chowk and the Jamnalal Bajaj Statue. Additional traffic restrictions will also be imposed as necessary. Motorists are advised to navigate from Jedhe Chowk via Volga Chowk, Lakshminarayan Cinema, Mitramandal Chowk, and Swatantraveer Savarkar Statue Chowk to reach their destinations. Traffic headed towards Solapur Road from the flyover on Satara Road is expected to remain smooth.

In the Shivajinagar Court area, similar traffic changes will be implemented. All types of vehicles will be prohibited from traveling along the road from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Putla Chowk to Kamgar Putla Chowk, extending to Tofkhana Chowk. The route from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Putla Chowk to Kamgar Putla Chowk may operate as a dual lane if necessary.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and ensure smooth traffic flow during the inauguration ceremony.
