Pune Rickshaw Drivers Offer Free Rides Up to Rs 100 for Women on Raksha Bandhan

Pune, 19th August 2024: Today is Raksha Bandhan, a holy day celebrating the importance of the brother-sister relationship. Maharashtra is filled with excitement as sisters tie rakhis to their brothers, and brothers express their affection for their beloved sisters. In Pune, autorickshaw drivers are displaying generosity by offering free rickshaw rides up to Rs 100 for female passengers on this occasion.

Many sisters travel to Pune by train to meet their families for Raksha Bandhan. To honour this, rickshaw drivers have decided to offer free rides for female passengers arriving in Pune. On Raksha Bandhan, rickshaw travel up to Rs 100 will be free for women using the Rickshaw Mitra prepaid booth at Pune station from 8 AM to 8 PM. After this period, a Rs 100 discount will be provided on the total fare.

This gesture is a small gift from rickshaw drivers to women passengers on Raksha Bandhan. The rickshaw associations have encouraged women to take advantage of this offer. The Rickshaw Mitra Prepaid Booth is located in front of the Ticket Reservation Centre at Pune Railway Station. The festive atmosphere is palpable, with brothers heading to their sisters and sisters eagerly awaiting the day to receive rakhis in various colours and sizes.
