Wakad, 17th September 2024: A shocking incident occurred this evening at Phoenix Mall of the Millennium in Wakad, Pimpri-Chinchwad. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Vishal Gaikwad, a man exited a white car and fired a shot at the mall. Although he initially fled the scene, he was later apprehended. The incident was captured on CCTV.

The man got out of the car and lingered at the entry gate before firing the shot towards the mall. Upon hearing the gunshot, nearby people scattered, leading to a scene of chaos. The shooting is believed to be linked to a quarrel and past enmity.

The suspect, Vicky Bala Shinde, has been detained by Wakad Police, who are continuing to investigate the matter further.
