A representative of the Mission Possible Foundation, expressed her grief, stating, “These dogs trusted humans when they ate the poison, which was cruelly hidden in cow intestines. This is a monstrous act, and the person responsible poses a threat not only to animals but to humans as well. Today, I saw tears in many eyes, which proves you don’t need wealth to show love and compassion. Even those with less have so much love for these beautiful creatures.”

The Bibvewadi police have begun investigating the case, with local politicians showing support by sending representatives to the scene. Determined to bring justice to the animals, the Mission Possible Foundation has preserved the bodies of the dogs in a freezer, awaiting a postmortem to uncover the precise cause of death.

Residents, particularly children who had grown close to the dogs, are grieving the loss of their beloved companions. The dogs had become part of the community, with many children recalling fond memories of feeding and playing with them. One young resident tearfully shared, “They were our friends,” underscoring the emotional bond the neighborhood had with the stray animals.

The poison also killed two crows, highlighting the lethal nature of the substance. Though the culprit remains at large, the Mission Possible Foundation is committed to ensuring justice is served.

As the investigation moves forward, both the rescue team and local residents are urging stronger protective measures for stray animals to prevent such cruel incidents in the future.
