Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced for Dahi Handi Festival Celebrations

Traffic Diversions:

1. Shivaji Road to Swargate:Vehicles traveling from Shivaji Road to Swargate can take the route starting at S.G. Barve Chowk, then proceed via Jangli Maharaj Road to Khandoji Baba Chowk, continue to Tilak Chowk, and then use Tilak Road/Shastri Road to reach their destination.
2. Puram Chowk to Shivajinagar via Bajirao Road:For vehicles heading from Puram Chowk to Shivajinagar via Bajirao Road, the recommended route is from Puram Chowk via Tilak Road to Alka Talkies Chowk, and then continue along F.C. Road to the desired destination.Alternatively, vehicles can travel from Sansas Puttala Chowk towards Senadatta Chowk and then proceed to their destination.
3. S.G. Barve Chowk to Pune Municipal Corporation:Vehicles can travel from S.G. Barve Chowk to Pune Municipal Corporation by taking Jangli Maharaj Road from S.G. Barve Chowk, turning left at Jhansi Rani Chowk, and then proceeding to the destination.
4. Budhwar Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk (One-Way Traffic):One-way traffic will be permitted from Budhwar Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk. Vehicles traveling from Appa Balwant Chowk towards Budhwar Chowk will continue straight on Bajirao Road to reach their destination.
5. Rameshwar Chowk to Shanipar Chowk:Traffic from Rameshwar Chowk to Shanipar Chowk will be closed, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
6. Sonya Maruti Chowk to Sevasadan Chowk via Laxmi Road:Traffic on Laxmi Road from Sonya Maruti Chowk to Sevasadan Chowk will be closed. Vehicles should turn right from Sonya Maruti Chowk and proceed via Phadke Haud Chowk to their destination.
7. Jijamata Chowk to Daruwala Bridge via Ganesh Road:Traffic from Jijamata Chowk on Shivaji Road to Daruwala Bridge via Ganesh Road will be diverted. Vehicles should use the route from Gadgil Statue via Kumbharves Chowk, Pawale Chowk, and the Old Satara Police Station route to reach their destination.
8. Ganesh Road Closure:All traffic on Ganesh Road will be closed from Daruwala Bridge. Additionally, traffic will be restricted at Devji Baba Chowk and Phadke Haud Chowk. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including Apollo Talkies, Narpatgiri Chowk, Daruwala Bridge, and Dudhbatti.

These diversions have been put in place to ensure the safety of both festival attendees and motorists and to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic during the Dahi Handi celebrations.
