There are number of questions that you should ask your partner in a new relationship, as these will get you to know each other better and make it easier for you to understand their character. Here are 21 of them:

  3. If you could go back in time and change one thing about your childhood, what would it be?
  4. Have you ever been in love before? How did it end?
  5. What do you do when you feel overwhelmed by life?
  6. Who’s your favorite artist or painter, and why?
  7. What’s the essential thing in a friendship to you? Why?
  8. What is something that makes you feel uncomfortable, and why?
  9. What is something that makes you feel safe, and why?
  10. If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be and why?
  11. If you could have lunch with three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
  12. What’s the closest you have ever come to being married before, and why didn’t it happen?

When I was in my early 20’s, I dated a guy who told me he had never been in love before.

The idea was so alien to me at the time that I couldn’t imagine how someone could live without experiencing it.

However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that there are many different ways to share love and that each relationship is the other.

I’m not sure if the following 21 questions are the right ones for every relationship, but I know they were the right ones for me.

Relationships can be a messy business, but when you’re dating and getting to know a new person, the learning curve can be even steeper.

These are some of the questions that come up when you’re getting to know someone new.

You’re not alone if your mind goes blank at times during a date. Sometimes it’s just hard to know what to say or how to keep the conversation going without coming off as desperate or awkward.

But by asking the right questions about goals, family, values, and priorities, you can learn a lot about the person sitting across from you.

When you’re trying to get to know someone new in a relationship, please turn on your listening skills and ask questions that help draw out information about their life and personality.

Here are three types of questions that can help spark great conversations:

Open-ended questions. These are broad questions that give people room to share their experiences.

They start with who, what, where, when, or why. You might try:
“What’s your favorite thing about this city?”

“What have been some of the best things that have happened in your life?”

  15. Tell me three things that annoy or frustrate you the most and why they annoy or frustrate you the most.
  16. Tell me one of your favorite childhood memories and one of your worst childhood memories, what made them so good or bad.
