Additionally, for group housing projects related to modified residential use outside the 242 villages, the path for obtaining development permits or occupancy certificates has been cleared. Cases seeking revised development permissions or occupancy certificates, where the Gram Panchayat has previously given an assurance of water supply, will be forwarded to the Executive Committee of the Authority for guidance. This will aid in making positive decisions on these proposals in the future, ensuring the availability of water. Until the decision from the Executive Committee is obtained, cases will continue to receive revised development permits or occupancy certificates based on existing approvals and the RERA timelines.
For other construction projects outside the new or modified group housing projects, if a well or borewell exists and sufficient water is available, these proposals will also receive approval. Additionally, setting up water purification (RO Plant) systems on-site will be necessary. The PMRDA has clarified that, apart from the 242 villages mentioned, no other construction projects will be halted in the remaining villages. However, residents and businesses are advised to submit their proposals following the rules.
Occupancy Certificates to be Issued:
For group housing cases where occupancy certificates are sought or have already been obtained, ongoing work will continue, considering the third-party interests and RERA deadlines. These cases will be submitted to the Executive Committee (EC) of the Authority and the Engineering Department for the preparation of water supply plans.
