One of the highlights of the festival is the stunning statue of the goddess, crafted in the exquisite Rajwadi style. Cultural Extravaganza
The five-day event will feature a variety of cultural programs, including folk-fusion themed songs, instrumental music, and traditional dance performances. A Community Feast
Saptapadi Durgapuja will also host an “Anandmela,” a food festival where attendees can share home-cooked Bengali delicacies with each other. This communal experience will foster a sense of camaraderie and strengthen community bonds. Special arrangements have been made for bhog on Saptami, Ashtami, Navami, and Dashami, added Mr. Soumitra Kundu, General Secretary of Saptapadi Cultural and Sports Association
Flea Market and More
To enhance the festive atmosphere, a flea market will be set up, offering a wide range of products from food and beverages to clothing and jewelry. This will provide visitors with a unique shopping experience.
Dates and Schedule
The Saptapadi Durgapuja 2024 will begin on October 8th and conclude on Dashami, October 12th. Daily pujas, including “Pushpanjali” and other rituals, will be held in the morning, followed by cultural events in the evenings. The Sindur Khela will be the most anticipated event of the Pujo.
