A senior Supreme Court official stated that while the exact details were unclear, it seemed the website had been “compromised.” The breach was detected on Friday morning, and the court’s IT team swiftly referred the matter to the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

In a notice posted on its website, the Supreme Court announced, “The YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India has been taken down. Services will resume shortly.”

Since September 2022, the Supreme Court has been live streaming hearings of Constitution Bench cases on its YouTube channel.
