The report Sule shared highlights that Bengaluru tops the list as Asia’s worst city for traffic, with an average wait time of 28 minutes and 10 seconds per 10 km. Pune follows closely behind, with a travel time of 27 minutes and 50 seconds per 10 km, while Manila in the Philippines and Taichung in Taiwan rank third and fourth, respectively.
On a global scale, London is ranked as the worst city for traffic, with an average wait time of 37 minutes and 20 seconds per 10 km. Other cities such as Dublin, Toronto, Bengaluru, and Pune also feature in the top ten. New Delhi and Mumbai are ranked 44th and 54th globally.
The TomTom Traffic Index, which evaluates 387 cities in 55 countries, provides insight into global traffic patterns based on average travel times, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions.
