Video of a man smashing window of Vande Bharat train goes viral

It was posted by an X user named Dr Mouth Matters, who asked, “Anyone know where this happened and what’s the story behind this mysterious guy with a hammer?”

The video has taken off, racking up over 169,000 views and getting shared by tons of users across various platforms, raising concerns about the whole situation.

The different opinions are mainly because we don’t have much info about when and where this all went down. Right now, we’re just left with the video and no extra details to go on. The footage depicts a man positioned in front of a Vande Bharat train. He wields a hammer and begins striking the train’s window, persisting until visible cracks appear.

Individuals who perceive this incident as a serious offense are calling for consequences for the individual involved. However, many are offering the benefit of the doubt, suggesting that he may be a maintenance worker preparing to conduct repairs.

Conversely, some users are defending the individual, arguing that his actions were part of the necessary process to replace the damaged window glass. The individual in the footage appears to be breaking the glass to remove it.

Further information regarding the video remains unclear, but it is reasonable to speculate that the man is engaged in repairing the broken glass, as he seems to be doing so in a calm manner. One commentator noted that the train appears to be located in a repair facility.

“Train is in the Coach Care Centre, not at the platform. He is smashing the glass because they need to replace it. He’s just the worker for the contractor assigned to replace the glass window,” suggested a user on X.

Recently, there have been several incidents involving tampering with trains. A notable case involved an LPG cylinder being placed on the tracks between Shivrajpur and Bilhaurin in Kanpur.
