Mumbai, 19th August 2024: The highly anticipated trailer of The GOAT – The Greatest of All Time, starring Vijay, has been released, creating a buzz among fans. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film revolves around an anti-terrorist squad (SATS) and promises to be an action-packed thriller. With a star-studded cast including Sneha, Prashanth, and Prabhudheva, the film is set to hit theaters on September 5, 2024. The trailer showcases intense sequences, hinting at a gripping storyline centered on the mission to prevent a terror attack in Chennai.

The nearly three-minute trailer begins with a series of action scenes, leading to the introduction of Vijay’s character, Gandhi, who is portrayed as a highly skilled operative with a reputation as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) within the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). The trailer reveals glimpses of his family life, with Sneha playing his wife, and teases a subplot involving a de-aged version of Vijay as his son. Notably, the trailer includes nostalgic nods to Vijay’s previous films, with the actor recreating a famous scene from Ghilli.

Venkat Prabhu’s direction highlights a blend of action and drama, with the storyline closely tied to real-world events. The film’s technical crew includes Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music composer and Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer. The GOAT is produced by AGS Entertainment and has already secured its post-theatrical rights with Netflix.
