Viral Video Captures Mulshi Road Rage: IT Engineer’s Family Attacked While Driving, Case Registered

Lavale, 2nd October 2024: Unknown individuals attacked a moving car in Mulshi Taluka, throwing objects at it, resulting in significant damage. A case regarding the incident has been registered with Pune Rural Police. The attackers were on a motorcycle, while an IT engineer and his family were in the car. The incident occurred on 29th September at 1 AM near Lavale.

Ravi Narayan Karnani, a resident of Sus Gaon, complained to the Paud Police Station, Pune rural police. The police have registered a case against three individuals, including the motorcycle rider.

The charges in the case include Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 324 (mischief) and 3(5) (acts committed by several individuals in furtherance of a common intention).

According to police, the complainant, an IT engineer, was travelling with his family from Lavale to Nande when several people attempted to stop the car by placing wooden sticks on the road. They were armed with sticks, stones, and other lethal weapons. Despite this, the complainant continued driving.

Following that, two individuals on a KTM motorcycle rode alongside them, attacking the car with a metal tool, causing significant damage to the right side of the vehicle. The chase lasted approximately two kilometres.

A video of the incident has gone viral, showing the complainant’s family panicking and praying for safety. Karnani has alleged police negligence in handling the matter. A case has been registered at Paud Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
