The police reported that Sachin has a criminal background, with six offenses recorded at Pimpri, Sangvi, and Wakad police stations.

They stated that Sachin and Vinod visited the Rahul Bar and Khusboo Hotel near the Kalewadi petrol pump on Thursday. Around 8:45 PM, one of them reportedly fired a revolver on the first floor of the hotel, endangering the lives of those present.

Bharat Mane, the investigating officer, mentioned that the inquiry is ongoing to determine the motive behind the shooting. They are also looking into the source of the firearm, which has been confiscated.

The police have booked the accused under sections 125, 352, and 351 (2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and those of the Indian Arms Act.
