The premiere episode showcased Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Karan Johar, and director Vasan Bala, who were present to promote their forthcoming film, Jigra. The discussion covered a variety of topics, including the joys of parenthood.
A segment of the episode featuring Alia’s reflections on her daughter Raha has particularly resonated with viewers.
Alia Bhatt expressed her admiration for the profound bond shared between her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and their daughter Raha, describing it as an everlasting connection.
“Ranbir invents random games for Raha. Suddenly, he’d be like, ‘Do you want to touch the clothes in the cupboard?’ and then they would have a sensory play categorising the dress as Velvet, Suede, Cotton, etc. He is very adventurous and very creative. It is very endearing,” Alia says.
Alia observed that the nurses attending to Raha hail from Kerala and have been singing a traditional Malayalam lullaby to her.
Consequently, the young girl has grown fond of the tune and now desires her parents to sing it to her every day. This lullaby comes from the early nineties Malayalam film, Sandhwanam, and has been a beloved staple in many Malayali households since its debut. Furthermore, Alia noted that Ranbir Kapoor made an effort to learn the song “Unni Vavavo” for her.
“Raha calls him Gee Paa, and he does these odd things with his face to make her smile. It’s kind of sweet, and I feel that he did the same thing with me when I was a kid. When you see your parents play with your child, it’s almost like having flashes of your own childhood,” said Alia about the relationship between Mahesh Bhatt, her father, also a veteran director and raha.
The episode also highlighted ‘Jigra’, directed by Vasan Bala, which stars Alia Bhatt as a dedicated sister determined to free her brother from a prison abroad.
Alia Bhatt made a striking appearance on Kapil Sharma’s show, donning a beautiful blue ensemble paired with eye-catching gold accessories. Many fans remarked on her resemblance to Neetu Kapoor, the mother of Ranbir Kapoor.
