New Delhi, 24th September 2024: Apple’s latest flagship phone, the iPhone 16 Pro, has recently launched, but users around the world are already complaining about issues with its touch response. The model, which went on sale only a few days ago, is reportedly experiencing screen lag. Despite the growing complaints, the company has not yet released an official statement.
iPhone users are encountering problems with tapping and swiping, along with issues during scrolling, dragging, and typing. Some users have also reported problems with mispressing while using the virtual keyboard.
According to a report by 9To5Mac, the issue appears to be caused by a software bug rather than a hardware defect. The report claims that iOS’s accidental touch rejection algorithm is overly sensitive, leading it to frequently ignore touches.
The report further states that the system may reject a user’s touch if it mistakenly interprets it as accidental. This often happens when the user’s finger is near the camera control button or along the edges of the screen.
Users report that when this problem occurs, the iPhone’s software ignores screen touches for a short period, preventing them from tapping or swiping. The issue is suspected to be related to the sleek bezel of the iPhone, which may cause the phone to register unintentional touches when naturally gripped.
The problem does not occur when the iPhone is on the lock screen or idle. It arises when the device is unlocked, and users are scrolling, swiping, or typing within apps. Many users are hopeful that Apple will resolve the issue with a software update.
