iPhone13 for Rs 11 from Flipkart, E-Commerce site faces backlash over false offers

Those who hoped to snag the iPhone at such a remarkable price were met with frustration, as numerous customers reported their discontent over the product being ‘sold out’ and ‘out of stock’ within mere minutes.

Additionally, when the promotion went live, the ‘buy now’ button on Flipkart’s website was unresponsive, and users encountered error messages that prevented them from completing their purchases.

Numerous buyers who anticipated acquiring the iPhone at an ‘unbeatable price’ ended up feeling let down and exasperated. Some users noted that the item was ‘sold out’ in no time, while others shared that even though they successfully purchased the smartphone for Rs 11, their orders were later canceled by the e-commerce platform.

Many took to X platform to express their dissatisfaction. One user commented, “Is this reality that Flipkart provides iPhone 13 at only 11 Rs. Because as previously, Flipkart launched a sale for the items at 9 Rs and 11 Rs but that time they booked after that was canceled by the seller. Why does Flipkart share false information.”

Yet another user wrote, “If you were trying to get an iPhone 13 for ₹11 at 11 PM then you were probably fooled. This is one of the marketing gimmicks used by online shopping platforms to create buzz. “Sold Out” message will pop up for everyone.”

“It’s all Publicity Stunts from flipkart to engage more traffic in their website. Other E Commerce companies are there but they never do. E kart is the worst,” was another comment.

Flipkart clarified that the offer was limited to the first three individuals and encouraged others to explore alternative deals.
