Pune: Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of 23-Year-Old Woman, Dumper Driver Escapes

Kothrud, 9th October 2024: A young woman died in Pune’s Kothrud in a hit-and-run incident involving a dumper. The woman was crossing the road when the dumper hit her, and its wheel crushed her head. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM today.

The deceased has been identified as Aarti Suresh Manwane, age 23.

According to reports, the deceased was a native of Amravati District. She was walking near Kothrud Stand when the speeding dumper hit her. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.

A case has been registered against the driver at Alankar Police Station.
