Following a brief visit to Abu Dhabi, the Indian leader immediately got to work, focusing on his fitness at the Reliance Corporate Park Cricket Ground in Mumbai.

He was all set to take part in the training session. Suddenly a mob gathered around him.

He was subsequently surrounded by fans who rushed onto the field to take selfies with him. The Indian captain managed the situation effectively, urging them to settle down and guiding them to a designated area to wait.

Rohit recently guided the Indian team to a 2-0 victory in the Test series against Bangladesh, marking their 18th consecutive home Test series win since February 2013.

A video posted on X captured fans making their way to the ground to see Sharma. The footage clearly demonstrates the immense fan following he enjoys.

“The way fans ran towards Captain Rohit Sharma for clicking picture with him during Rohit Sharma practising at RCP Mumbai. The madness and love  for boss, @ImRo45,” says the caption. The video was posted by Rushiii.

The post went viral and attrated many comments. One user said, “The way he said “main udhar aata hu, @ImRo45  can’t wait to see you in Jaipur in IPL.” The other user mentioned, “See how humble he is Unlike the other guy who calls us smelly and stinky.”

The 37-year-old showcased his acrobatic skills during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, making a remarkable catch and delivering outstanding fielding to prevent vital runs. He aims to replicate that same level of intensity in the upcoming series against New Zealand, set to start on October 16.
