In his social media post, Lande said, “Dear Bihar, after serving for 18 years, I am resigning from my position. Throughout my career, I have always placed Bihar above my own interests and even my family. If I have made any mistakes during my service, I seek forgiveness. While I am leaving the Indian Police Service, Bihar will continue to be my workplace, and I will remain here.”

Confirming his resignation to the press, Lande stated that he stepped down due to personal reasons. Originally from Akola in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, Lande was assigned to the Bihar cadre and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has also worked briefly with the Maharashtra Police.

During his tenure in Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell, Lande gained recognition for cracking down on drug traffickers. He also made significant breakthroughs while serving as Deputy Commissioner of the Crime Branch.
