Rescue Efforts and Injured Workers’ Condition
Fellow workers rushed to rescue those trapped under the debris. Unfortunately, one labourer had already succumbed to his injuries by the time he was pulled out. The injured were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving critical care.
Cause of the Collapse
Preliminary police investigations suggest that improper handling of the wheat sacks and inadequate safety precautions led to the tragic incident. Reports indicate that five workers were unloading the sacks when one slipped from the bottom, causing the entire stack to collapse.
Ongoing Investigation
The body of the deceased worker has been sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation, and they have pledged to take appropriate action based on their findings, particularly regarding the lack of safety protocols in the warehouse.
