In 2016, she founded “Anjum’s Kitchen,” a pioneering women-owned cloud kitchen in Hyderabad. Fast forward to 2023, and she now enjoys a monthly income exceeding Rs 1 lakh, having fulfilled over 20,000 orders.
Inspired by neighbors and local bachelors, Anjum started her business from home, focusing on quality biryanis. Her daily routine begins at 4:30 AM, allowing her to handle 25-50 orders each day, including special party requests. The pandemic, rather than being a setback, opened doors for her. During this time, she obtained necessary permissions to serve food and introduced innovative offerings like “Jashn-e-Dawat,” catering to those unable to attend weddings.
Anjum’s signature dish is her beloved mutton biryani. Her success mantra revolves around hard work, quality, and constant innovation. “I introduce something new every few months as people expect that,” she explains. Recognizing demand for variety, she launched an ‘iftar platter for one,’ featuring a delightful assortment of dishes, and experimented with seasonal desserts.
Her tiffin service includes a rotating menu that caters to dietary needs, offering options like low-sugar custard for health-conscious customers. Anjum also finds time to teach online cooking classes for international audiences, sharing her culinary expertise.
Crediting her achievements to dedication and support from her family, she emphasizes the importance of hard work. “If we want to make a name for ourselves, we have to work very hard,” she asserts. Her commitment to taste and quality has earned her a loyal customer base.
