How to unsubscribe from a YouTube channel on a computer or mobile device.
The tech giant Google owns Youtube, YouTube was founded by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal.
On Youtube, you can find every content you could imagine. It’s a Video Encyclopedia for the generation “Z”.
Lot’s of Youtube channel flooded on Youtube; some we like and subscribe for the channel but some aren’t. If you have subscribed to a Youtube channel and now you want to Unsubscribe from a Youtube channel then simply follow these steps.
Unsubscribing from YouTube Channels on the Web
If you are thinking to unsubscribe from an Irritating Youtube channel on the web
1) The first thing first you have to Login to your desired Google account.
2) After that you need to follow some easy steps to unsubscribe the Youtube channel
From the Channel Landing Page
In the upper left corner (like this three horizontal lines)Click on that.
As we know there is a list of Most popular Youtube channel subscription is listed under the “Subscriptions” section.
In this section, you can select the channel you want to Unsubscribe. After that this will brings you to the channel landing page.
If you are subscribed to the channel then you will see the “Subscribed” button in the top right corner of the notification alert bell icon (in grey colour).
If you are not subscribed to the channel then it will remain in Red colour instead.
Now if you want to unsubscribe from the Youtube channel just click on the “Subscribed ” button
This message will prompt in a Popup box – “Unsubscribe from Google?” you just click on the UNSUBSCRIBE button.
After the confirmation, your subscription to the channel will end, and you will not receive the notifications for it.
From a Posted Video
This is the quickest way to unsubscribe from a Youtube channel. Simply if you are watching the channel video Just click on the “Subscribed” button in grey colour.
A popup box will appear, Just click on “UNSUBSCRIBED” button and confirm.
It will remove all the subscriptions to that channel from your account.
Using the Youtube Subscription List
If you want to know that how many channel do you subcribed or if you want to “Unsubscribe” many channel at once then just use the “subscription list” as per shown below.
Simply click on the blue ‘Manage” button in the top right corner near your account and Youtube notification.
A list of Subscribed channels will shown there on the next page. To Unsubscribe,click on the “Subscribe” button as shown in the image.
Like the other method shown above, a popup will appear, asking “Unsubscribe from Google?” simple click on
“UNSUBSCRIBE” and you will no longer receive the “Notification”
Unsubscribing from YouTube Channels in the YouTube App
Like YouTube on the web, you can unsubscribe from a channel’s landing page, from a video posted by that channel, or from your list of channel subscriptions.
If your youtube account is linked to the iPhone or iPad or android then you can easily unsubscribe from these gadgets.
First signed in to your Google account, (as we are using more than one email address nowadays) Just switch between the accounts tap on “Accounts” and chose the account.
From a channel landing page you can unsubscribe from a Youtube channel
As per shown there, you can see list of videos, playlist and other information regarding to the channel in the main area.
Same as show in the web version of the Youtube, you have to click the grey button which is “Subscribed” under the landing page of that channel.
Simply tap to the button and one popup will appear asking “Unsubscribe from Google?”
Just simply click on the “UNSUBSCRIBE” button. After the confirmation the channel will be removed from your subscription list.
From a Posted Video
As the Youtube algorithm recommends many videos there, If one of your subscribed channel showing you the videos; then simply click on the video it will play and after that you have to simply click on the “SUBSCRIBED” button like shown below, it will prompt a message “Unsubscribe from Google?”
You will now no longer will receive the notification of that channels.
Using the YouTube Subscriptions List
This is the another way to Unsubscribe from a Youtube channel using your Android, iphone or ipad.
Under the bottom of the Youtube app of your phone or tablet, Near the “Home” button tap on “Subscription” section; then you will see the list of “Youtube” subscription list.
Here in the top section of the app, you will see a “Carousel” after tapping on the channel, you will view videos posted by the channel.
Simply you will see three “Vertical dots” click on that dots and you will see the popup message as you seen before.
“Unsubscribe from Google?” click and confirm if you wish to unsubscribe from it. Now you will no longer receive the notification.
