IndiGo, Thanks for a Horrendous Experience: Divya Dutta Expresses Frustration Over Airport Fiasco

The actress slams the airline for poor communication and unhelpful staff during a chaotic airport experience.

Actress Divya Dutta, known for her roles in films like, Veer-Zaara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Badlapur, recently voiced her frustration on social media following a distressing encounter at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. In the early hours of Thursday, Dutta took to Instagram to share a short video from the airport, highlighting the challenges she faced due to an unexpected flight cancellation.

In her post, Dutta criticized ‘IndiGo’ for its lack of communication and the indifferent attitude of its staff. She detailed her ordeal, stating, “IndiGo, thank you for a very horrendous experience in the wee hours! No notification of a cancelled flight… am checked in on a cancelled flight. The flight announcement reflects at the gate! No staff to assist! Huge harassment at the gate to exit, and no staff from IndiGo was present… and the high-headed approach to the passengers! My shoot got affected, and I am terribly upset.”

The actress expressed her disappointment with the airline, pointing out that she was checked in for a flight that had already been cancelled, only finding out when the announcement was made at the gate. Dutta described the chaos that ensued, with no staff available to assist passengers or provide guidance on next steps. The incident left her frustrated, especially as it affected her professional commitments.

Divya Dutta’s next big screen appearance will be in Chhaava, alongside Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The teaser was released in August and the film is set to hit theatres on December 6.

The actress’s candid post has sparked conversations online about the importance of proper communication and customer service, especially during travel disruptions.
