Maha Metro announces shortlisted bidders for DDC contract of Pune Metro Phase 1A project

MahaMetro put out bids for the DDC-03 package in July 2023, with a four-year contract and an estimated budget of around 2.36 crore. Three bidders submitted technical bids by the end of August, with the evaluation process wrapping up on Monday.

Qualified Bidders:

1. SYSTRA MVA Consulting (India)

2. STUP-RITES JV

Unfortunately, LKT Engineering FP Project Management JV were disqualified.

Here are the details of the new stations:

– Vanaz Chandni Chowk Extension (2 stations): Kothrud Bus Depot, Chandni Chowk

– Ramwadi Wagholi Extension (11 stations): Viman Nagar, Somnath Nagar, Kharadi Bypass, Tulaja Bhavani, Ubale Nagar, Upper Kharadi Road, Wagheshwar Temple, Wagholi, Siddharth Nagar, Bakori Phata, and Vitthalwadi.

All 13 stations have been planned out for the future, with possible adjustments to their locations once satellite imagery becomes available in 2026.

This contract is indeed significant as it marks the third and final design consultancy award for Pune Metro’s Phase 1 Extension project. Here’s a summary of the other contracts:

– DDC-01: This contract involved the design of three elevated stations at Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi, which was awarded to LKT Engineering.

– DDC-02R: This contract covers the design for architectural and electrical & mechanical (E&M) services and proof checking for the Swargate to Katraj corridor, awarded to PINI Group.
