Man molests female crew member of Air India Express flight from Varanasi to Hyderabad; arrested


The accused  allegedly touched the crew member inappropriately and later created a ruckus after deboarding from the flight

In yet another shocking incident, a passenger onboard a flight at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi has been arrested for allegedly molesting a female air hostess.

The incident took place on Friday morning, August 30, while the passenger boarded the flight from Varanasi to Hyderabad.  He was traveling by Air India Express flight number IX 1171. As per information, the accused has been identified as Mohammad Adnan, a resident of Telangana Hyderabad.

After boarding the flight, the accused allegedly touched the crew member of the plane inappropriately. When the female crew member scolded him, he started misbehaving. The crew member immediately informed the airline officials about the matter. Air India Express security in-charge Srikant Tiwari arrived with QRT personnel.

After the air hostess’s complaint, the airline took action and deboarded the passenger from the plane, who created a ruckus at the airport. Due to this, the flight got delayed by 1 hour and 20 minutes and took off for Hyderabad at 8:50 am instead of its scheduled time of 7:30 am.

Later, an FIR was registered against the passenger at Phulpur police station.

Speaking about the incident, Phulpur police station in-charge Praveen Kumar Singh said that Adnan visited Azamgarh to meet his acquaintance three days ago. After informing about the incident, the relatives of the accused arrived at the police and he was later released on bail.
