Jagannath Salunkhe, Regional Officer of MPCB Pune, stated that sound level meters have been deployed, and the noise levels are currently under control. He added that if high decibel levels are detected, Ganesh mandal organizers will be instructed to lower the volume. “The mandal authorities have cooperated, and monitoring will be conducted daily from 6 PM to 10 PM,” Salunkhe said.

Doctors warn that exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels can cause ear damage in 20% of individuals, with children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions being particularly vulnerable.
