Pimpri Chinchwad: Woman Dies After Being Hit by Royal Enfield Bike Near Nashik Phata, Bhosari

Bhosari, 11th September 2024: A 44-year-old woman died after being hit by a Royal Enfield Bullet bike near Nashik Phata in Pimpri Chinchwad. The deceased has been identified as Munni Begum Wakil Ahmed. Her husband, Wakil Ahmed Hajrat Ali, 49, a resident of Kasarwadi and a native of Uttar Pradesh, has filed a complaint with Bhosari Police Station. A case has been registered against Vidyadhar Chandrakant Bartakke, 28, a resident of Sangamwadi. The charges include BNS Sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 106(1) (death by negligence), along with relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.

According to police reports, the deceased was crossing the road from Nashik Phata towards Pune in Kasarwadi when a Royal Enfield Bullet bike with registration number MH 12 VK 1581 collided with her. The biker was allegedly driving recklessly and ignoring traffic rules. The collision caused severe injuries to her legs and head, ultimately leading to her death. Police Sub-Inspector Patil from Bhosari Police Station is investigating the matter further.

In another incident also under the jurisdiction of Bhosari Police Station, a man named Rauf Jalil Chaudhary died due to the negligent driving of a truck driver identified as Raju Ramsevak Yadav, 37, a resident of Pimpri. The truck driver was reversing when he hit the deceased. The deceased’s son reported the incident to Bhosari Police Station. Police Sub-Inspector Kamble is investigating the matter further.
