Pune: 43,000 Seats Remain Vacant in Class 11 Admission Process

Pune, 17th September 2024: A total of 77,608 students have secured admission to Class 11 in junior colleges across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, yet 43,196 seats remain vacant.

The timetable for the sixth and final special round of admissions has been released, marking the last opportunity for students to secure a seat in junior colleges.

Out of 1,20,805 available seats in 340 junior colleges, 1,04,066 were allocated through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), with an additional 16,739 quota seats. A total of 1,03,556 students registered for admission, and 94,383 completed and locked their applications. As a result, 68,394 students were admitted through CAP, and 9,215 through quota seats.

Currently, 35,672 CAP seats and 7,524 quota seats remain unfilled. Given that the sixth special round is the final chance for students to gain admission, it is mandatory for eligible students to submit their forms. After this round, the Daily Merit Round will follow.

Timetable for the Sixth Special Round:

18th to 21st September: Students can register their preferences for admission. New applicants can register online by completing Part 1 of the application form and verifying it. Students with ATKT concessions are also eligible to participate.

22nd to 23rd September: Data processing, merit list preparation for eligible candidates.

24th September: The college selection list will be displayed on the website. Students will receive their college admission login ID and can view the round cut-off on the portal.

24th to 25th September: Students can confirm their admission by visiting the allotted college within the specified time frame. Admission cancellations are also possible during this period.

25th September: The status of admitted students will be displayed on the portal, quota vacancies will be dedicated, and any remaining vacancies will be shown.
