Pune Airport Unveils New MI Room for Passenger Health and Convenience

Pune, 22nd August 2024: Pune Airport is thrilled to announce the inauguration of its new MI Room, designed to offer free medical services to passengers. This significant development was officially launched today with the guidance of dynamic and vibrant leader Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation. The inauguration event was attended by Santosh Dhoke, Airport Director, and Dr. Purvez Grant, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Grant Medical Foundation (Ruby Hall Clinic), along with other distinguished officials from both the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Grant Medical Foundation.

The MI Room which is conveniently located in Check-in area of New Terminal Building will provide free medical services to all passengers and is operated by Ruby Hall Clinic medical professionals. Open around the clock, it aims to offer continuous support and address various medical needs of traveling passengers. Additionally, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) have been strategically placed at key locations throughout the terminal. These AEDs are crucial for delivering immediate electric shocks to restore normal heart rhythms during sudden cardiac arrest, thereby significantly improving survival rates. They are user-friendly, equipped with clear, simple instructions for bystanders.

In conjunction with the MI Room and AEDs, an on-site ambulance has been positioned on the city side of the airport to handle medical emergencies swiftly and efficiently. These enhancements underscore Pune Airport’s commitment to passenger safety and well-being, ensuring a secure and comfortable experience for all travellers.
