Baramati, 2nd September 2024: A few days ago, Baramati MP and Sharad Pawar’s daughter, Supriya Sule, targeted her cousin, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Known for being an early riser, Ajit Pawar was indirectly criticized by Sule for his early morning habits. Ajit Pawar responded to this indirect taunt during a speech in Baramati, his home turf, as part of his ongoing Jansanman Yatra across Maharashtra.

While addressing the crowd in Baramati, Ajit Pawar remarked, “I am well-versed in construction, even though I am not an engineer. I can accomplish as much as an engineer might. To ensure quality, I often visit work sites early in the morning. Recently, I visited the statue in Rajkot Fort. We should avoid political criticism and focus solely on development. Some people say, ‘Let them talk,’ but does their speaking result in harm to us?” With this statement, he indirectly targeted Supriya Sule.

Pawar continued, “Some say we ask them to wake up early in the morning. When have we ever said that? They also mention that even the milkman wakes up early, but when have we said he wakes up in the afternoon?” Responding to Sule’s criticism with a sarcastic tone, Ajit Pawar urged the people of Baramati and his supporters not to give importance to such remarks.

Speaking about the heinous crimes that occurred in Badlapur and Kolkata, Ajit Pawar, who is also the Guardian Minister of Pune District, stated, “The authority of the police should be upheld in Baramati. If someone breaks the law, tell them that ‘Dada’ has ensured that the police are strict. No matter which political party they belong to, we will not overlook it; we will stand by the truth. What happened in Badlapur and West Bengal should not be allowed to happen. The murderers should be hanged; they should be punished severely.”

Ajit Pawar further mentioned his plans to be in Baramati on Ganesh Chaturthi and acknowledged that his visits to Baramati have lessened recently. However, he assured that he remains dedicated to development and provided information about upcoming projects in Baramati. He also advised the opposition to focus on progress rather than criticism.

What Did Supriya Sule Say?

In the past few days, Ajit Pawar had made a statement about waking up early and starting work. Supriya Sule took note of this remark while speaking in Purandar. Criticizing her ‘early-rising cousin’, Supriya Sule said, “Everyone is working hard; no one is doing favours for anyone. I dismissed the dialogue of some people who say ‘I wake up early in the morning.’ Even the milkman wakes up early too. What time you wake up is your wife’s concern, as she has to make tea. Has respected Pawar Saheb ever made such a speech before?”
